Every Sliding Door Has the Same Weak Point

It doesn’t matter how new, how expensive, or how impact-rated your sliding glass door is. They all share the same fundamental design: a bottom track with small drain holes. During storms, wind-driven rain gets pushed up through those holes and overwhelms the track. The water pools, overflows the inner edge, and runs onto your floor.

The HF Diverter drops into the bottom track of your closed sliding door. Once in place, it creates a watertight dam that holds storm water in the track until it drains naturally — and it physically locks the door shut so it can’t slide open or be lifted out.

STEP 1

Close Your Slider

Slide your door to the fully closed position. The HF Diverter installs into the track section behind the closed door panel — the part of the track that’s exposed when the door is shut.

STEP 2

Drop In the Diverter

Place the custom-fit plastic insert into the bottom track. The L-shaped profile with integrated weatherstripping seats into the track channel, creating a watertight barrier that sits higher than the track edge. No tools. No drilling. Just drop it in.

STEP 3

Locked and Protected

With the diverter in the track, the door can’t slide open — the insert blocks the panel’s path. Wind-driven rain hits the dam and is held in the track until it drains out through the weep holes. Your home is sealed and secured.

Water Protection

The L-shaped plastic profile with integrated weatherstripping creates a dam inside the track. During storms, wind-driven rain enters the track through the drain holes but can’t overflow the inner edge — the diverter holds it back until the water drains out naturally through the weep holes on the exterior side.

Security Protection

Once the diverter is seated in the track, the sliding door panel physically cannot move. It acts as a security bar in the track — the door can’t slide open, and it can’t be lifted off the track from the outside. This defeats the two most common forced-entry techniques for sliding glass doors.
